Opened in c.1913 as the Grand Theatre, it was located on the corner of Salusbury Road and Lonsdale Road, opposite Montrose Avenue, in the northwest London district of Kilburn. It was a conversion of a school dining hall and had a proscenium opening 16 feet wide.
In 1915, it was known as the Queens Park Electric Theatre. From 1916 it was known as the Old Boys Cinema and by 1932 was known as the Cinema Royal. It became the Troc Cinema from 1933 until it finally closed in 1939.
This little known Kilburn cinema was always an independently operated cinema and was in industrial use for almost 80 years. By 2007 it was in use as an assembly hall & gymnasium for the adjacent Salusbury Primary School. By April 2019 it was in use as a special events and meetings venue known as the Salusbury Rooms.

Location is 103, Salusbury Road, NW6 6RG. It’s now known as the Salusbury Rooms, a meetings/events location, which has been restored inside. It’s no longer a factory!
