The Coral Theatre originally opened August 30, 1950 by John H. Miller, who also operated movie houses in Heber, Lehi, and Pleasant Grove. It was renamed Towne Theatre on February 29, 1980. The theatre was twinned, and currently seats a total of 583 in both auditoriums. The Towne Theatre today screens family-friendly fare on both screens, at the unbelievably lost cost of $1.50.

This is truly a family operation and is a refreshing change from the corporate mega-plex world.Not a movie “palace”,but definitely an old time experience.The fact that it is so family friendly and inexpensive is great for those big Mormon families.The Deseret News had a great article a few months ago on this operation.I believe the article can be located on the utahtheaters.info site
