This twin was opened on December 22, 1978 with Walt Disney’s “Pinocchio” and John Travolta in “Grease”. It operated into the early-1980’s, with one screen showing mainstream fare and adult movies on the second screen. It was located on Ogden Avenue at Westmont Drive. Today, there is an auto dealership at this address. In 1980, the Chicago Tribune’s movie listings show the Studio Eleven playing “A Force of One” in Cinema I and “Dynamite” and “Tales of a Hooker” in Cinema II.

I remember rumors of mob involvement soon after it opened.
The Studio Eleven I II opened on December 22nd, 1978 with Pinocchio and Grease. Grand opening ad posted.
I wouldn’t be surprised if part of the theater is still there somewhere in the auto dealership.
