Located in the outer circle of the Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax, VA, this theater was closed after United Artists built the larger Movies at Fairfax Towncenter.

The stand-alone theater had entry doors to the main lobby with a circular concession stand. The theaters were located in a single hallway at the far end of the concessions.

One auditorium had 70mm capability. If memory serves me correctly, they showed Indiana Jones: The Temple of Doom in 70mm here and may have been the only film they had in 70mm.

I worked at this theater in 1989. It was an 8 screen complex with theaters that went down two hallways from the consession area. 70mm was capable on 1 screen down the left hallway, the only house on the right. Theater 2 was straight ahead from the conession stand. In the summer they would run midnight shows of “Heavy Metal” and “Rocky Horror” on Saturday nights.

This location ran as a $1 house for a time after Fairfax Towne Center opened.
