The Strand Theatre was opened in June 1920 with Nazimova in “The Brat”. It was operated by Commonwealth Amusement in 1950. It became a two screen theatre located on the first floor of the Motor Inn. It was operated by Fridley Theatres showing first run attractions with an admission of $5.00. It was closed in 2020.

The entrance of the recently remodeled Strand Theatre was pictured on the cover of Boxoffice, April 7, 1958.
The Strand Theatre at Creston was mentioned in the December 17, 1921, issue of Exhibitors Trade Review.
Closed in 2020, still closed today.
This needs to be corrected to closed. Incredibly ugly building. Maybe someone will pull that trashy dryvit off of it.
