Roadside Oklahoma site gives a nice vintage view of the old Main Street Cinema, Tulsa.

This 1957 photo shows midway down the block (photo right) the former Main Street Cinema. Directly across the street sits (photo left) Tulsa Theatre.

This picture postcard, published during the 1950’s, clearly illustrates that the old Main Street Cinema had already closed, converted to retail use. It was situated between Crown Drugs and JC Penney’s. Tulsa Theatre was located across from the Main Street Cinema,

To look at a 1940 picture of Tulsa’s Main Street Cinema look under the heading “2nd & Main” on the below web site,

MAIN STREET CINEMA was a stylistic nickelodeon that dated back to the early Twentieth-Century. With a huge, decorative arched entry way, it was quite impressive!
Some source list this same address for the TULSA Theater, but the Main Stree and Tulsa were two different movie houses.
