Located in the Eastland Mall, the Eastland Mall Cinema 6 was opened on September 26, 1986 and showed first-run films until its closing in the late-2000’s. The Eastland Mall was rebranded Eastgate Metroplex, and is no longer retail.

My first “summer job” was at the General Cinema Eastland Mall 6. I really enjoyed working there, even though the hours were a bit rough. I remember that The Judds performed a concert on opening weekend.
They are closed. Both numbers listed for them are disconnected, & mail is returned as undeliverable. It may not be a bad thing that it did close because every review I found about them was not good at all. Here’s one just for reference.
I was Eastland’s first Asst. Manager and was involved in the opening of this theater. I remember The Judd’s concert was awesome! Who knew how big they would get! I have very fond memories of my time at Eastland and other GCC theaters in the Tulsa area including stints at Woodland Hills, Fox, Eton, Southroads and The Admiral Twin.
I find it hard to believe anyone would get treated like this at GCC a company I worked for.It makes me believe we are not being told the whole story concerning the comment above on THEATRE HOUND’S post.
Scheduled for completion in the mid-1970s, the builders behind the Eastland Shopping Mall ran out of money and the property sat there for years with the structure about 80% complete. My parents and I drove by the uncompleted mall for years.
When the money was finally gathered and the mall completed, the Woodland Hills Mall on the south side of town was built and flourishing. Although the location of the Eastland Shopping Mall may have prevented its success, it certainly would have enjoyed a better fate had it opened well ahead of the Woodland Hills Mall as it was supposed to.
This opened on September 26th, 1986. Grand opening ad posted.
