The Ritz Theatre was opened on November 16, 1933 with Spencer Tracy in “Man’s Castle”. Owned by Jones Amusement Company, the Ritz Theatre was still open in 1956. The building was destroyed by fire on May 22, 2004.

Sorry for the off topic nature of this post, but for some reason I’ve been getting notices regarding this theater and not only have I not subscribed to this particular thread, but until now I’ve never posted here. How is this possible? Methinks there are Ubangi’s in the fuel supply!

The actual opening date is November 16, 1933 with Spencer Tracy in “Man’s Castle” along with several short subjects (one of which is the technicolor short “Operator’s Opera”).
