According to statistics listed on Frederick, Oklahoma web sites, Architect George KADANE designed the beautiful Ramona Theater. The plush auditorium was atmospheric with electronic twinkling stars and Brenograph rolling clouds illuminating a midnight blue plaster sky. Listed as operating continuousely from 1925-1949, the Ramona did operate after 1949, but not on a regular basis.
There is a complete history and good images of the Ramona which can be pulled up on Frederick, Oklahoma web pages- – -

The Ramona Theatre is owned and operated by the Frederick Arts and Humanities council. Work has recently been done to restore/renevate the balcony which has been virtually untouched since it was purchased around 1983. It is continually undergoing painting and restoration. The Ramona has a new website, www.ramonatheatre.com , which has photos and current events. Tours are available by stopping by the City of Frederick office across the street.

The Ramoma Theatre opened its doors on October 24, 1929 with Ann Pennington in “Gold Diggers Of Broadway” along with an unnamed talking short, a newsreel, and a Vitaphone Vaudeville (listed as “Vodvil” for some strange reason).
