The Wood Creek Theatre appears to have been built sometime between 1966 and 1971. The loge, which featured an early form of stadium seating, was later closed off and made into a separate auditorium. Sometime during the early 1980s, two additional auditoriums were built onto the north wing of the theatre expanding its screens to four.
The 1998 opening of the seventeen screen Tinseltown megaplex in the Woodlands tapped out what was left of the Wood Creek’s patrons, resulting in its closure in 1999.

The 1981 IMPA lists the North Hills Twin in Conroe. I’m wondering if that was an aka for this theater before the last two screens were added.
most probally one and the same.
Wouldn’t it be great if the owners of this theater would show old movies on the big screen again?Perhaps they could keep the prices somewhat low.Perhaps many people would love to see old movies on the big screen again.I think I just might go every week,if they’d do that. Tom
There was a twin theater, different from this one, in the north end of the North Hills shopping center untill the late 90’s. My wife and I saw Titanic there. The Woodlands 17 theater was just too much competition I guess. It was a $1 movie for awhile then it became the local Social Security office. The bldg is still there but I don’t think anybody is using it. It looks empty.
