Stewart & Everett operated the theater until November 11, 1960 when it closed for a whole year. It reopened under independent ownership led by C. Pope Gantt on December 22, 1961, and was renamed the Cinema Theatre during the late-1960s.
Film Daily Yearbook;1950 edition lists the Andrews Theatre as having a seating capacity of 457. Looking at the photo in the link above by lostmemory, I would say this is about right.
