I came across a record on this theatre while researching the grand dames of Marietta, the Strand Theatre and the Cobb Theatre. Haven’t located any information to date regarding seating or chain. It apparently opened in 1971 and was closed by 1976.

I always thought that the corner of that shopping center looked like it had a theater but don’t remember there ever being one. Maybe an old Georgia Theater Co. guy will remember it. May have even been a Martin that GTC didn’t take over…
Here is a recent photo of the Marietta West. In that I hand only recently found out about this little theatre, I had no idea as to what it looked like. To make sure that this was the former theatre I ran this photo by some Marietta natives. Each confirmed that this was the original theatre building save for the wood paneled façade and each stated that it was a single screen venue.
