The Dream Theatre was opened prior to 1914. It was located in the Grand Opera House building. The Dream Theatre was still listed in the 1933 edition of Film Daily Yearbook. In the 1934 edition of FYD it was listed as the Roxy Theatre. This was another Mike Barovic-owned theatre in Puyallup.
The Roxy Theatre was severely damaged in the 1949 earthquake.

Both the Roxy Theater and the Liberty Theater were listed as operating in Film Daily Yearbook’s that I have, editions 1941-1950. The Roxy had a seating capacity of 300.
The Liberty Theater, located at 114 W. Main Street had a capacity of 750.
Seating capacity for the Roxy Theater in 1950 is given as 380.
So what is this space now?
It was closed by 1954 according to the phone book.
Was this at 109 S. Meridian? It had been the Giggling Greek and now it’s Bagel Boyz?
The exterior of the building CLEARLY looks like it used to be a theater.
Katie Mac, I emailed the City of Puyallup in hopes that they can provide a correct street address. I agree with you that the building just to the right of the Giggling Greek (via Google maps) looks like it could have been a theatre. I will post back if/when I hear anything.
The Roxy Theater was located on Meridian just north of Pioneer Way about 1/3 of a block. There was Bunn’s Pharmacy, then Martin’s Confectionery, then the Roxy. It only ran westerns, Superman, Cisco Kid, none of the shows the Liberty ran.
