The Torres & Sons Taxidermy still occupies what was once the snack bar for the Country Squire Drive In Theatre. An April 2019 aerial view (googlemaps) shows that the little projection building is still holding on… With out a roof tho..

I worked as a projectionist for a weekend here in 1972—-ran “Fuzz”, a “Magnificent Seven” sequel(can’t remember which one but I believe George Kennedy played the Yul Brynner role) and the Bud Yorkin-Norman Lear comedy “Cold Turkey” with Dick Van Dyke. This drive-in, the Linda Kay Drive-in and the Kaufman Pike Drive-In were third run theatres for United Artists Theatres and were only open on weekends.

I believe the ole Projection booth is still in the field. Just sitting empty for no telling how long! The Taxidermy is still there last time I looked, a few months back.. Photos of the remains to be posted soon!

Drive -in was located on Highway 67 and can still be identified by a taxidermy shop doing business in what was the snack bar on the east side of the highway.
