Opened by 1937 as a neighborhood second run house. By 1951 it was an African-American theatre. It became a foreign language (mainly Polish) house in the late-1950’s, ended its days as a porno house called Luxor Follies from May 17, 1963 screening Shelly Martin in “The Nudist Story” (aka “For Members Only”) & “Mating Time”. Demolished to make way for the Gateway Newark office complex.
