The Grove Theatre closed temporarily after the April 30, 1960 showing with “Devil’s Hairpin” and “Johnny Dark.” The ad noted, “After our final showing we are closing for an undetermined period.” More than 65 years have passed and we are wondering if perhaps “final” actually meant “final.”
