Originally opened as a burlesque theatre, known as the Pantheon Theatre. The name Pantheon is located on a carved stone plate on the facade. In 1923, it was purchased by the Tender family who operated it for the remainder of its life. They renamed it Tivoli Theatre, and introduced silent films, initially screened via a hand cranked projector. At one time singer/actor Danny Thomas appeared on the stage. The Tivoli Theatre also ran a summer movie program for school kids and supported benefit shows and fund raisers for community service organisations.
The Film Daily Yearbook, 1941 gives a seating capacity of the Tivoli Theatre as 675. The seating capacity given in the headers above is taken from the 1950 edition of F.D.Y. The final films screened at the Tivoli Theatre were “Obsession” and “Family Plot” in 1977.

Showed primarily Fox, Columbia and Universal product. It closed sometime after the Ohio in the late 70’s. Was used as a bingo hall for awhile. I dont know what happened to it after or if the building is still there.
The Tivoli closed in mid-1977, and the building was demolished in 1987; the last films shown were “Obsession”, and “Cross Of Iron”.
