Darren is right! The entrance road next to Habitat/Mid Ohio is still there! This massive ozoner is just asleep under the foliage just waiting to reopen someday…😔😇😙

Google maps too far north on this one. Should be located just north of the Oakland Park/Westerville Road (Rt. 3) intersection.

The land was purchased on 2/24/2000 for almost $600,000. There are no buildings on the property, just some blacktop from 1965. Use is listed as for churches/public worship.

This theatre opened on July 14, 1950 with the films RED RIVER and EVERYBODY’S DANCIN'.

I don’t see any record that this was ever owned by the Schottenstein family.

In 1956 it parked 450 cars and was owned by W.Queen.

Dont think ever went to this one, thinking it was bad part of town, when it was open. Remember passing the area it was located in later years.

Is it used for anything now? Sometimes drive-ins make good locations for outdoor swap meets, for instance.

Columbus used to have so many drive-ins that they took up a whole separate section of the Dispatch daily movie listings. Besides this one, there was the Eastside, the 40 East, the Kingman, Miles East Main, Miles North High, and others whose names I no longer remember. (There’s a longer list here.)

Forgotten Ohio has a whole page of photos of the Linden Air, long closed and overgrown with trees.

CinemaTour.com lists the Linden Air’s address as 3168 Westerville Rd.
