The Westwood Theatre was opened in 1919. Now a Gap store on Westwood Avenue, this building was still operating in 1950, but closed soon after and has not been a theatre for almost 60 years. However, the retail space has been built in a “box” inside the large theatre space, with ceilings not exceeding ten feet. The stage, screen and ceiling details are said to be preserved in this huge void space, though I have not been in this abandoned area.
From the outside it is clear that it was a theatre because of the massive bulk of the building, though no marquee remains.
The reason for this theatre’s demise is not completely clear, though somehow the Pascack Theatre around the corner overtook it.

Not listed in the 1951 FDY, so yes, it has been closed for many years.
A Robert-Morton organ was installed in this theater in 1921. Later, a Kilgen organ, opus 4161B, was installed in this theater in 1928.
