Fountain Cinemas is a real mystery cinema.
What I have found is very little. The cinemas did not advertise in the city papers and a grand opening story cannot be found. The Fountain Cinemas opened sometime in late 2001 early 2002 in Dayton. It appeared to be very small with stamp screens and stadium seating, seating about 90 in each theater.
The cinema had no marquee, just a neon sign in the small window that said “Cinema”. The owners apparently had little money and closed two months after opening.
The only thing I could find is a listing in the 2003 Dayton Yellow Pages that simply read “Fountain Cinemas” — Dayton.
