Prairie School Movie Theaters

Pioneered by Frank Lloyd Wright and his contemporaries in the early 1900s, the Prairie School was an indigenous American architectural movement inspired by the flat horizons of the Midwest. Prairie-style theaters emphasize strong horizontal lines, low-pitched hipped roofs with wide overhanging eaves, bands of casement windows, and the integration of natural materials such as brick and wood.
