St. James Theatre
The newly formed Greater Union Theatres (GUT) would end their lease of the St James with a two week revival of the sound enhanced “King of Kings” (1927). The season concluded 24 December 1931 and Fullers took back full control of the venue, re-opening on Boxing Day. Six months earlier it was revealed that they would not be presenting flesh and blood attractions, but sticking strictly to motion picture presentations.
