My nephew ‘Andy’ from NYC visited many SF Bay Area old movie theatres on his trip Summer 2026. No shows playing the week we stopped by the outside of the ‘Fox Oakland Theatre’. No neon, gates up, closed all up even on a Fri & Sat night. The company that has the lease ‘Another Planet Entertainment’ APA also runs the ‘Castro Theatre’ in San Francisco CA. It is dead many times during the week and very expensive to see a live music stage show. No movie projectors left in the former projection room dome.
