When they ran movies at the ‘Fox West Coast’ Varsity Theatre they would light up the side sections past the pillars near the exit wall doors with a dark Blue dim light during a movie in a all dark auditorium. I remember the stage curtain was lit in green or sometimes red bulbs. Now everything is painted a church type white bright paint. Would need to be a darker color If they ever ran films again I hope.
