On February 8, 1985, the first movie theater in the Western Poconos opened at Split Rock Resort between Lake Harmony and Albrightsville called the “Gallery Theatre”. It originally housed 250 seats as a single-screener running a mix of first-run and second-run films, and a second screen was added during the late-1980s.
