Located in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The Hoyts Wantirna Drive-In was one of the last of Hoyts drive-in theatres to open.

Wantirna opened on 22nd August 1968 with Rex Harrison in “Doctor Dolittle”. It had a capacity for 658 cars and was initially a single screen theatre.
