Above a later dropped ceiling in the former auditorium of the Strand/City Theater there remained plaster detail and finishes. View of the original project screen area on the rear (east) wall of the former auditorium space. The original projection screen area remained. It consisted of a middle screen area with rounded corners that was painted a glossy white (now grey). This was set in a black border with a richly ornamented gold painted plaster frame or proscenium.
