Helen Marks writes on Facebook’s Colac Otway History - I went every Saturday night to The Regent and would sit on my father’s lap. As l was growing up I went every Saturday afternoon. Mum gave us 2 shillings each for our tickets and spending money for half time in the milk bar. Then on the way home I would call into Mrs Hoy’s Pie shop and buy one of her delicious meat pie’s for my tea (as it was called back then). Loved my Saturday afternoon. I am now 88. So long time ago. Love and cheers to everyone in Colac. Hope to pay you a visit next August all being well with my daughter Kate.
