Wintergarden at the time of opening 4th June 1927 - when it was touted as the finest provincial theater in Queensland. The proscenium was 35 feet wide. The stage itself was 80 feet wide and 35 feet deep. The fly tower was 70 feet high. The theater interior featured ‘a pleasant biscuit and cream’ color scheme.
