While single-screen theatres everywhere were being heinously chopped in half at that time, UA Cerritos Twin was a purpose-built duplex. In fact its main auditorium alone was as large as many nice single-screens. Cerritos Twin overall was also considerably larger than the Westminster Twin, another parking lot supplement opened nearby in Orange County.
Cerritos Twin and Cerritos Mall together brought UA’s screen count for the shopping center to 6. However, the two complexes did not share a common box office and were always treated as separate entities.
