This theatre is for sale again, there have been improvements done —new rubber roof over auditorium, new heat and air conditioning. It has a 3 bedroom apartment that is currently rented out and a 2 car garage. The asking price is $130,000 because owner wants to help make sure theatre stays open. It is first run.

correction* should state 1948 style stadium seating—not 1848

Miner Theatre was never twinned, It was opened in 1948 ane the only theatre Mr. Miner built that he used his name on. It has 1848 style stadium seating (known by the “old timers” as a balcony. All renovations that have been done kept it original as possible.

If your air handler and heating coil (assuming the oil boiler was hot water and not steam) is still in good condition you can do what I have done in 3 different buildings and that is use the newest boilers (last projest was 4 150,000 BTU boilers that are as small as a suitcase) and hook them to the coil. One project done last year saved me almost 40%. Cost of the project was $13,000 which included getting rid of the old stuff.

Tomahawk Cinema, Tomahawk, Wisconsin is still for sale. This is a single screen, first-run theatre. It also has a 3 bedroom upstairs apartment/or living quaters. It has been absentee owned since 1983 and REALLY needs an owner/operator. Current owner has 4 other single screeners not for sale, he just needs to downsize the operation because of wife having health problems. There is a locally owned/operated bank that does mortgages on this property. Price is $160,000 with everything but inventory to continue operation.
