Thank you for your interest. While we prefer to elaborate on details concerning our plans only with serious private inquiries, and not on an open forum, I am happy to share a few things with you and other readers.
The name of our charity is Christmas Dreams and Miracles, Inc. We are based out of Xenia, Ohio. There are other non-profit groups which we historically supported. Our name may be soon changed (perhaps to Children’s Dreams and Miracles, Inc.) to better reflect our expanded mission. Since inception, we have solicited funds to help children and their families with goods and services they might otherwise not be able to afford. We have also worked in conjunction with others in establishing food pantries and the like.
Several of us have had life long theatrical intests which, when combined with ever dwindling arts programs in schools, has given us direction to establish a theatrical setting (somewhere) that would function as both an entertainment and performance place for a community in need of same: but, also be a facility that could attract talented people to share their skills with children and adults in the form of classes in music, dance, theatre arts, etc. Said classes would be free or at a low cost to these students. Recitals and plays would be scheduled to showcase the development of these talented people. Some financial support would be from presenting professional plays, concerts, etc.
Our group is made up of seasoned business people who derive no income from charitable work and who have many years experience in business and charitable activities. While we can only hope to establish a working model of this plan relatively close to our Ohio base , this model could benefit other charities in other parts of the country. We also have expert consultants available for projects anywhere in the US or abroad.
If you have any serious interest in being a part of this group of have a theatre to represent, please contact me at 937-307-6496 or at
.com When inquiring, please include information about yourself and/or your organization. Sorry, we are not prepared to give specific or personal information to anonymous inquiries over a screen name only.
Thank you for your interst.

Wolfgirl,
Thanks for your comments. I like your enthusiasm and interest.
You and jackober may be right. How can I reach the current Uptown owners?
Thanks again!

The Liberty/Paramount Theatre should be saved. I am associated with some very talented people, a non-profit corporation, in western Ohio who could be interested in developing some program to restore the Liberty/Paramount into a film/performing arts center.
With the renewed interest in the rebirth of W. Federal Street in Youngstown, perhaps the time has come to re-awaken this sleeping princess. The venue we envision would be a similar model to the newly restored State Theatre in State College, PA.
We think it would also be nice to showcase the other great theatres that used to glisten in and around downtown Youngstown.
Any help, direction, or those that may be interested in joining this project will be welcomed.
The Stars Will Shine Again!
