Location was actually opened and operated by Kerasotes from day one. The Streamwood location was a joint venture between Kerasotes/Sony. This location actually had a café and arcade at one time, years after opening it was converted to stadium seating and the café was closed. Regal has redone the site and put reclining seats in and closed the side concession stands.
Cinemark just closed the discount theater that was near the mall. I believe it was an 8 screen location, before building the new theatre at the mall they had the 8 screen and an older 6 screen that closed the same day they opened this new location. The 6 screen has been demolished and the land sits empty, plans are for a Dicks Sporting Goods and DSW to take over the area where the 8 screen was.
AMC is reopening this theatre in April 2015. Not sure how many auditoriums but they are putting recliner seats and a bar in. AMC is also building a new theater at Oakbrook in the parking lot area, 12 screen location.
