This building now is owned by the City of Greenville. Built in 1914, it is in a designated Historic District. Greenville Re-development Commission, in conjunction with performing arts groups in the city are hoping to renovate the building as a multipurpose community performing arts venue. An architect has presented concept drawings which show the different 250 seat configurations that the building could take.
AdHoc Committees are being organized for fundraising, publicity, volunteerism, etc. A general goal is to have the building open for business on its 100th anniversary 2014. Estimates for renovation are presently around 3 million dollars.

Confirmed. All that is left of the theater is an empty log and the marquee sign post that is now a camera mount for a local TV Stations Traffic Cam.
