I spent many a Saturday afternoon at that movie theater, with my then school-age child, watching great films, together. Great memories. I have not lived in Lufkin since 2000.
If my memory serves me correctly, this is where I saw the title: “The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension.” It was the last time I ever stepped into that cinema.
I saw the premiere of the Empire Strikes Back at this theater. (I remember waiting a very long time to see it — maybe it was just that way for a six year old.) Great memories.
I have many fond memories of this erstwhile theater. The animation viewings were an integral part of my childhood and interest in film, theater, and writing; and I always enjoyed the cafe ambiance about it.
I saw so many great films, there. I had relatives, in the area, and so we went to movies and had a great time. I miss it so much

Lovely
I’ll attempt to upload some of our photos of our memories (of the restaurant — not the theater). How live it must have been when it was a theater.
It’s beautiful.
I saw Dirty Dancing, here.
Yes, I remember Saturday viewings of betty boop. I was about seven, I believe. my mother took more than once.
Is there any more information about this theater? About the films/information contained here?
Yes — I remember viewing movies, here, back in the late nineties. Too bad it’s gone.
I remember it when it was a church
I know my message is coming some years after the last posted, but is that a garment button in the photo?
