They should turn the West Newton in Mass into an alamo drafthouse, haha. Thats cool though, now East Coasters get a chance to see what this is about.
great cinema,reminds me of the theatre I went to as a kid, the Hoyts Cinema 7 in Brockton.
There are still Universities, Archives, Labs. 35mm will be given the reverence it deserves, at some point.
I wish I was in California so I could go to the New Beverly.
35mm live on!!! There are repertory houses in every cultural center in the world.
I saw a 35mm print of 2001 this past summer at the Brattle Theatre in Cambridge MA for the first time. An incredible movie to see on the big screen.
I absolutely love this theatre. It’s one of those main auditoriums that gives you shivers.
