Red Curtain Drape Curtains Vista Theatre

So nice to have working drapes. My only complaint when we went on Saturday morning 6/29/24 to watch a 35mm nice B&W 35mm print of Columbia’s ‘Who Was That Lady’ in flat 1.85 with proper masking the projectionist on duty dimmed the house lights then opened the curtains on a blank white screen then started a cartoon in 1.33. I mentioned this the the lady manager on duty about starting the movie on the closed drapes then show them on the curtains and screen at the same time then open. Same thing happened at the end the booth guy closed the curtains after all the credits ended on a white screen and people left. The proper way for best showmanship is to wait till the 10 second cue mark and close the drapes so the credits are still projected on the drapes and screen and end when the curtains are fully closed. Let’s hope Quentin reads this CT Forum or the manager brings this up at a staff meeting.
