This photo which was taken on 12/30/74 shows the Fox with just three movie showing days to go before closing on ½/75. On the day of this article 12/31, there were no movies as the theater was booked by Alex Cooley for a New Years Eve concert by the Allman Brothers. After that it was two more days of that epic “The Klansmen” on 1/1 and ½ and that was it.
It would be three and one half years, June 1978, before another movie played the Fox. (Ben-Hur in 70MM using the equipment purchased from the shuttered Loews Grand, but that is another chapter.)
