I can’t believe it’s even still standing a miracle in Doncaster. It’s the only surviving building of Station Road, which was completely knocked down in the 1960s. It was once part of a very impressive station approach road which was removed from the map of Doncaster.
A pity that this isn’t a picture of a cinema? This block of flats with a “penthouse” on top is a tragedy for Ventnor and can never replace the Rex Cinema. What a cold and sterile building and how very much better this corner looked when the cinema was there.
