Maybe FB registered it as a business name or something, but it was never called anything but the Northland Theater by people living in FF, and the signage never changed. It remained empty for most of the 70’s and early 80’s and was then torn down. It’s a vacant lot now, or was when I was back home a couple of years ago.
There was never a Towne Cinema in Flin Flon. There was a Rex Theater, and a Northland Theater, both on Main St. Both closed in the late 60’s or very early 70’s. There was also a Paragon Theater just across the border in Creighton, Saskatchewan which also closed in the 60’s. As mentioned in the previous post, The Big Island Drive In still operates in the summers.

It was a great theater. Saw “Stand By Me” there, years ago.
