So many memories of this theater, went most weekends from around 1984-85. I still remember when they got cherry coke for the first time! Went there with friends on my 11th birthday to see “Rambo: First Blood 2” and when my Grandpa saw the poster he said it was too violent and wouldn’t let us see it. We ended up seeing “Teen Wolf” instead.
I have to admit I hated this theater! Having grown up in the suburbs and been to many large theaters, this was my first taste of theaters that had been divided up. Not only was the theater SMALL, I remember somehow I was seated at an angle to the screen! Only went once in 1998 I believe to see “Kurt and Courtney”
I lived in the neighborhood in the 90’s. For some reason this wasn’t a regular movie stop for me. I did see “Blues Brothers 2000” there in Feb. 1998 right before it closed. There were only a couple other people in the theater and they were smoking cigarettes!

They used to bus us from D.G. North to the bowling alley for PE class and seeing the exterior of the Tivoli a couple times a week was always cool!
