I worked at Ford City for a few months in the late ‘80’s, under Tom…I forget his last name…Greenan?. Anyway, by then, the District Office was at Woodgrove Festival Cinema, in Woodridge, and was occupied by Charles Wesley.

Anyway, working at Ford City was great. It was always busy, and I enjoyed it. If I ever win the lottery, I will work at a theater somewhere, selling popcorn…what a great time.

Wow… I worked at T&C during my Senior Year, in 1983, with Chris Lindgren. That was fun, espcially when we played movies like “Let’s Spend the Night Together” by the Stones….

Plenty of after work gatherings in the back parking lot, sometimes fueled by any unopened beer we could confiscate from the patrons, specifically, patrons that came to see the above concert films.

I also remember First Blood, Tron, Tootsie, etc… It was tough to watch these movies on video later, since I had seen the ending about 100 times…lol..

I worked at Randhurst in the Mid-80’s, and I remember the Big Rocky Horror 10th Anniversary… Also, The Song Remains the Same at Midnight. Those were great fun. I worked there on and off from, like 1984 through 1990. I left to be an Assistant Manager at Deerbrook, then Manager at Lincoln Mall, and Floor Manager at Ford City… I left the company to work for Blockbuster, and when I quit that to go back to School, I worked at Randhurst again Part Time for awhile.

I worked as an Assistant Manager at Deerbrook in, I believe, 1987, under Frank Mack, and then Randy Dzurko. I as an Assistant for about 6 months, from February to August, when I went to be a Manager at Lincoln Mall.

I do remember Jeff Klunke, who posted above, and a bunch of other folks. I remember that Terry Reynolds was the “Fix-It Man” for all of the area General Cinema theaters.

My weirdest memory was when was a big flood in the summer of ‘87. Cinema 2 ot totally flooded, almost halfway up the hallway. Terry was with me, and finally pulled the manholes in the parking lot, and the water went down. I was in there all day long pulling out the carpeting. Man, did that suck. Terry went over to the bowling alley, across the parkin lot, and said the alleys were all buckled and ruined.

This is a cool site… I will be checking the messages for some of the other theaters I worked at too.
