I had forgotten about that. I was working at another theater and had a friend who worked there at the time and supposedly he had killed his “partner” at an apartment complex nearby then headed over to the theater and killed himself at the part in A few good men where JT walsh commits suicide. Creepy.
I saw Tew at Six Forks Theater about 6 or 7 years ago. I guess he was working their, maybe managing, he was the city manager when I worked for Carmike in the nineties. Anyone got any old pictures of the Cardinal??
I remember seeing movies there in the early nineties. I remember seeing Out for Justice with Steven Segal in ‘91 and it was just a single theater. Then I went back six months later and saw Livin’ Large and it was split in 2 theaters and it sucked. It closed shortly there after.
I saw my first movie there, Grease when I was 3. Also saw E.T. Ferris Bueller, Beetlejuice and the last movie I saw there was Roger Rabbit. I think the last movie that showed there was Driving Miss Daisey. Anyone got old photos of the inside or out??
I was the projectionist from summer of 91 till they closed it in early Jan 94. We tried to keep it open but when the discount multiplex opened they closed us down. We were dispersed to different cinemas but Terrace was the best. It was the ugliest theater EVER. Post pictures if you got them!!!
