An interesting photograph taken in 1931 of the Regent cinema stage. The closed front house curtain showing the gold silk design of a rising sun appliqué onto the velvet, whilst the boarder above has white silk clouds. Below, featured centre of the orchestra pit stands the newly installed Christie organ console with organ chambers either side, their edges just visible. The whole area enclosed with illuminated decorative panels the black support piers surmounted by glass Empire Torchères.
