Photograph taken of the Troxy cinema 1960 ten years after Essoldo purchased the Troxy together with the Tivoli from the Spickernell family. This Robert Cromie building is still clinging on to showing films, although Bingo is awaiting in the wings to pounce. Possibly the advertising hoardings helped along the way, there were certainly in competition with the films being shown.
