Empire Theatre Leicester Square
It’s June 1942 and war rages on with London badly bombed, it’s a bright day as soldiers mingle within the large day time crowds. The Empire is showing the moral-boosting “Flying Fortress” together with the Warner Theatre seen far right. “Gone with the Wind” is showing at the Ritz, the continuous run lasting nearly four years. Just past the to-let sign, above the canopy of the Mouseigneur News Theatre with their patriotic flags hanging down.
