Front elevation of the new Plaza March 1936 showing entrances with a shop unit either side, these were rented from the Plaza. Canopy displays the film ‘The Tunnel’ starring Richard Dix and Madge Evans. Over the canopy are five 10ft high windows that brightly lit the upper Balcony Cafe, also the main Restaurant below. Above the name ‘Plaza’ was lit with neon lighting by Halophane.
