Gaumont Palace Egremont
Entrance foyer photograph taken 21st November 1933 a richly decorated area with two pay boxes. Panelled in horizontal bands of French and Italian walnut, surmounted by a frieze of grained curled birch. Above a three sectioned coffered recessed ceiling featured a central diamond shaped ornate light fitting in each recess with an Art Deco design etched into the glass, which was finished in gold and silver, complimenting either end were fibrous plaster raised details also in silver. Finishing the area were a pair of 8ft display poster frames, supplied and fitted by Garton & Thorne Ltd London. The Terrazzo flooring was carried out by Marble Mosaic Ltd Bristol
