This sounds really great but there is only parking for about 30 cars. With 550 seats I would guess you need 100 car parks. If you park on the car parks of the adjacent shopping center with huge costs for taxes, security, snow removal you will be towed UNLESS the new theater has entered into a car park agreement! Has it done that? Or do you go to the new theater by Uber?
THE ADJACENT HUGE SHOPPING CENTER OWNS ALL THAT PARKING, MAINTAINS IT AND PLOWS OFF THE SNOW AND HAS SECURITY GUARDS. That is great. From the side street the other side of the liquor store you can drive to the rear of the cinema and peak in the back door. Last time we did that we saw tons of what looked like illegal migrants coming out of the theater. I await your pictures. Nice to see this theater open again but where do you park?

South Bay Cinemas is 15,000 sq.ft. on 29,000 sq.ft. of land owned by the Miller Family. There is 10 car parks behind and room for 15 car parks in front but robboehm pictures / google maps show they have not yet been built. The theater has 400 seats WITHOUT liquor store per the building department ( they will answer your queries! ) so parking is inadequate. The adjacent shopping center often filled ( see google maps) is 13.5 acres owned by Basser-Kaufman who do NOT know the Miller Family. A senior security guard of the 13.5 acre complex told me that any theater patrons cars on their land would be towed to make Star Bucks and their other tenants happy. Building department has no application to demolish and rebuild the liquor store site. They say the current building permit covers the existing site only. I think for free or close to fee that robboehm can obtain a FOIL of the building permit for the 400 seat theater or simply chat with the West Babylon Township about this project. Their web site welcomes inquires.
Perhaps the Miller family has run out of money? Perhaps the Miller family is trying to obtain an easement from the Basser-Kaufman family?
I fully agree with robboehm that to open this theater with only 25 car parks is not a good idea.

I stopped by on Monday afternoon July 23, 2018. There are fresh pigeons but no tradesmen’s vehicles and no tradesmen working. There is a building permit displayed. Has the renovation group abandoned the project? Anyone know?
I drove by the Patchogue mutiplex on Monday. There is wording on the marquee that it is closed and to “go to Ronkonkoma cinemas”.
I will be going to Sayville and Island 16.
Well you have advised that the last day of the Patchogue Theater will be Sept 9, 07. O.K. My next question is where will all the customers now go to see movies? What theaters will pick up the business and what % for each acquiring theater? I also note that the Islip Theater has permanantly closed its doors too. Where will it all end?

The patchogue theater site is owned by a property developer who is going to build condos. it will not reopen as a theater.
