well it looks like loews because it was originally going to be one thats why if you look it has theyre signiture spotlight designs on the floors and walls outside and inside.
by scores i mean our rateing by secret shoppers and what not its a score based out of ten and thats how we get our rankings. and i quit the theater due to gas prices and distance. i didnt work at the old one but i did go there alot. as for 3d…well…the best i got is that theyre working on it
ok well good news and bad news… the attendance has gone up. so have our scores and prices and our employed people. now for the bad news…i am no longer with the theater BUT i still talk to people who work there so im still able to answer any quistions you have.
well i dont know when the last time you were at the theater but we have just upped the price in our concession stand, seeing as how thats where the most money is spent. so this may be a hint that bigger things are comeing im sayin MAYBE because i dont know nobody is answering questions.
justin good catch on that BUT if you read the thing it accualy says movietickets.com/moviephone or soemthing like that i accualy have never even tryed to go to the website. and i would like to point out the addition of 2 new plasma tvs in the lobby one of them doesnt work(sent a bad tv.) and as for the 3d we are aware of the fact that it IS the next big thing but we need to save up the money for it. its VERY expinsive.
i think it was an animay kinda thing like yugioh or one of those….and as far as us getting dlp write to the company headquarters and talk to managers and stuff…we listen to suggestions and stuff so if you suggest it it brings us one step closer. and as far as most people are concerned they dont really see the diffrence in dlp and regular or 3d so its a had call on the theaters part.
if you read the posters that are along the wall there are accualy a few of them were promoting. one is for poltergist and the i forget the otherone but its on a black poster stand on the left side of the doors when you walk in…hope thats helpful
i totaly agree wiht you. if someone at amc had “vision” we would have beeh prepared. amc theaters is the big invention place when it comes to theaters. we were the first with stadium seating, the “loveseat seating”(lifting arm rests) and we also were the first ones to make the moviewatcher club. ao at some point someone had vision…but now theyre not really looking ahead because were still doing pretty good. i think even though you all disagree writeing letters will help because you need to start somewhere…and you know how you really get your letter read. you send a letter and you mark it time sensitive and address it to the head of the company and then you almost shure to get it read…most of the time…any more quistions feel free to ask.
all of your arguements are very true. the problem with the big/small theaters is when we have a movie take happy feet for example. that movie was in theaters for 13 weeks thats a long time and at its 13th week we were still selling out shows. and i think it would be a bad idea to have just one theater in 3d i think if we went we should go all the way so that we can offer the full expernce in all the movies. if you keep sending request to the main AMC corp execs your shure to get a responce sooner or later. you should write a letter. then a week later follow up with another one. make phonecalls do stuff to get the company to show that they are getting your letters. thats the best i can do for now i will ask more quistions and i will give you answers as soon as possable.
1)ok well…we COULD out fit one theater with a 3d or dlp or something diffrent, BUT it would also stop us from being able to have interlocks between certen theaters with out useing more money and time then nessary. plus we would then have to pay for the regular films AND the 3d film as well and from what i know the 3d is more. then we have to also train our booth people how to maintain the 2 diffrent machines. Another problem would be if we did outfit one theater and one theater only and say it was one of the smaller ones, like theater 14, we wouldnt be able to show big movies in 3d right away because its to small for all the people that would want to see it on opening day. and most people dont really see the diffrence or much care. me personaly i would love to have 3d movies. we would also gain the ablity to show imax movies but it is much more expensicve then out owner in willing to spend. im shur the theater has other reasions that i am unaware of but i will look into it more deeply.
2) Justin, im not fully shure of the #1 16 screener but i do know that it is not paramus. it is to new still for them to be judged. it takes a few months for them to get the money to have secret shoppers and what not. we are currently showin promos for dathom itself. i dont know if we plan on haveing them but i will also look into that. i know its more popular in theaters around collages. security is very good at the theater. but i dont know all of its iner workings. one because im the low man on the totampoll…im on a need to know basis i know what i know because i ask quistions, ALOT of quistions. compared to the older one… i dont even think they really had SECURITY in the word. we have 2 security guards and we have all that good stuff with the bells and whistles.and like i said before the 2 biggest theaters we cant be the only ones with real d becuase then when we wanted to move the movie to a smaller one to make room for a summer blockbuster in them we would lose the 3d. or we would be haveing 3 people in a 300 person theater and 250 in a 220…and that would cause us to LOSE sales.
out of the summer block busters so far in my opinion was so far s3. to be honest though we have had so many sales period for all of our movies i couldnt be positive on what sold the most. i can however tell you that we as of june 16th are the number 2 theater out of all amc theaters that have 16 screens(38 theaters) so being the 2nd best isnt to bad and were number 10 out of all amc theaters in the country. the number one is obviously the one in times square. hope that makes your next visit the best possable out of hime entertainment experiance. if you have anymore quistions feel free to post them in reply to my posts and i will gladly answer them.
I work at the theater and WE ARE NOT GETTING DLP ANY TIME SOON. they are to expensive to have for all 16 theaters because we need to have the same equipment accross the whole theater. when we may and I say MAY get them I will post about it. and we wont be getting them untill the theater has been open for atleast a year and a half.
it will eaither be theyre biggest or on of the smallest like theater 4,5,12,or 13.
well it looks like loews because it was originally going to be one thats why if you look it has theyre signiture spotlight designs on the floors and walls outside and inside.
jobs available?
